Sport Management: A Whole New Playing Field
Sport is big business. In 2009, the sports industry in the United States alone employed almost 2.5 million people and brought in an annual revenue of $410.6 billion.* As it continues to grow and evolve, the demand increases for competent sport management professionals who have a comprehensive understanding of the sport business and who have acquired the skills to lead in this new and exciting global arena.
It’s never been a more exciting time to study sport management. Opportunities are endless in areas such as professional and intercollegiate sports, sport marketing and public relations, sport law, sport facility and event management, recreational sport, and not-for-profit sport management.
Drexel University’s School of Technology and Professional Studies offers two degree programs for students whose goal is to acquire the expertise to succeed in this dynamic field.
