In 1892, our founder, A.J. Drexel, recognized the need to provide working adults access to higher education. He began by offering classes in the evenings so that adults with families and full time jobs could attend at a time convenient to their busy schedules.
Goodwin College of Professional Studies is proud to continue that tradition. While many programs are still offered in the evenings, Goodwin has extended the legacy to include Saturday and online programs with the intention of keeping higher education options accessible to adults who have busy lives.
Drexel’s Evening College offers a number of degree and degree-completion programs, many of which are offered in collaboration with other Drexel colleges and schools.
The Saturday Scholars® program is primarily geared to individuals who have earned credits toward their undergraduate degree and are looking to complete their bachelor’s in a specific professional area. The course of study is accelerated, the tuition is affordable and the environment, as it is in all Goodwin programs, is supportive.
If you wish to take courses at Drexel without enrolling in a degree program, you may enter as a non-matriculated student. For further information on criteria admissions procedures for non-degree students, review the guidelines here.
For those who would like to advance in or change their careers, or who are interested in personal enrichment and lifelong learning, Goodwin College offers Continuing Professional Education programs, which include a variety of non-credit courses, certificates, and certifications.
Part of our CPE offerings are comprised of Leading-Edge Networks, which provide courses, workshops, and seminars in specific areas such building and construction, nonprofit studies. and historic preservation. Courses in business skill development benefit all who are seeking to enhance their professional opportunities. Our CPE course offerings also include professional certifications and exam preparation.
All of our adult education programs are guided by the high academic standards of Drexel University. We seek to provide you with educational opportunities to meet your current and future professional and personal goals.
